Fell-running
From WikiLinks
To get a feel for what fell-running is I can recommend 'Feet in the clouds (a tale of fell-running and obsession)' by Richard Askwith. The book is an account of one year in the fell-running calendar, interspersed with chapters about the legends of fell-running. It is a good read, and makes you want to go out there and do it all for yourself.
